Sunnyside Moss Campus Drop Off Zone

Thank you for your cooperation with the new arrangements for the drop off zone.

Your understanding to ensure the safety of all concerned is very much appreciated. It is important that we work together to continue to follow the new arrangements.

Please be mindful when parking near school that

  • That local residents driveways are not blocked as this has caused residents to be unable to leave their house to collect their children from other schools and attend appointments. It could also be a danger if it stops residents being able to get to hospital in an emergency.

Rule 243 of the Highway Code states (In part):

  • Not to park near a school entrance.
  • Where a kerb has been lowered  to help wheelchair and power mobility users.
  • In front of an entrance property.

Playground 3 Project

Friends of Hawthorns would like to say a HUGE thank you to Ardmac Performance Contracting Ltd, who have donated £4000 to our playground 3 project. This amount will help us get closer to our target of £25,000. Our charity was nominated by the parents of Naois, who is in Rowan class. The cheque was presented to Mrs Cottrell, a charity trustee and Mrs Thompson, the Executive Principal of Hawthorns School, by Ronan and Andrew Winstanley, who is the Managing Director of the company.
